On Sunday, May 3rd Devyani Dance Center sustained devastating damages due to flooding. For this reason we are sad to report that all classes are canceled until further notice. We are currently trying to find an alternate space to hold our May 9th workshop. As of right now, our May 16th workshop and hafla has been postponed. We will keep you posted on all classes, workshops and events as we receive information. Everyone's been asking what they can do to help. Here are a few ways: Be patient. We promise to work as hard as we can to get classes up and going soon. Support our performances. All performances are still on. Come out and show your support every Wednesday at Silver Coin in Hoover. We will also be performing at the Dog Daze festival in Trussville on Saturday May 9th. We'd love to see you. It would be a great way to lift dancers' spirits! Buy some merchandise. To make a long story short, the flash flooding happened during a workshop so there were actually several students there that helped save all the merchandise. It's currently sitting in dancer's homes. If you had been eying a Gwahazee coat, skirt, cds, dvds, etc now is the time to buy. Just email devyani@bellsouth.net or ishimmy4me@gmail.com and we will get the merchandise to you. All unsold merchandise will be up for ebay auction sometime next weekend. Merchandise sales will hopefully help to offset some of the extensive cost of this cleanup.
